The Shark is a special ship that can only be unlocked for construction by defeating Keto's flagship and then recovering the technology from the wreckage.
The Shark is an extremely versatile ship - particularly notable due to its formidable attack power (21/21/21 with 7 DPS), decent speed, 3 item slots, and an extremely low upkeep of -25 credits.
The 3 item slots are what make the Shark so versatile - slotted full of AT-6 shields, they can gain 450 hitpoints; slotted full of 30% attack upgrades, they will do 40/40/40 dmg (13+ DPS); slotted full of engine upgrades, and they can rapidly traverse the map to deal with enemy threats or as cheap trading vessels. This, in addition to its low cost and decent attack power, makes a fleet of Sharks far more formidable than any other standard warship fleet of equal value.
The only downside to the Sharks is the somewhat horrible turning rate.
There are three kinds of Sharks.
- 500 hp, 24/24/24 (8/8/8 DPS) Sharks with 500 hitpoints are used by Keto when her difficulty is set to Hard. This is the toughest version of Shark but it does not benefit from Ark Items such as Global Gun upgrades. They can be hijacked and added to your fleet using Hijackers.
- 350 hp, 21/21/21 (7/7/7 DPS) Sharks with 350 hitpoints are used by Keto when her difficulty is set to Medium. This is also the version that comes available for construction for players after defeating Keto.
- 350 hp, 15/15/15 (5/5/5 DPS) Sharks with 350 hitpoints are used by Keto when her difficulty is set to Easy.
