Appraisal in the CampaignEdit
In the campaign of the game, Global Trust is in the process of building a new hydroelectric dam in Section 13, as part of the Two Year Plan. It is revealed that Section 13 is a vital crossroads in trade, and that the construction of the dam will increase the ability of the section to operate in a more efficient way as such. Due to poor foresight however, the dam breaks and puts the entire operation at risk. After seeing that the area was destined to be destroyed, Global Trust puts its efforts at securing resources and people on the island, but initially abandoning the post. After this occurrence, Thor Strindberg is suspended from operations. Despite one disaster already having occurred in the area, a runaway oil tanker collides with an oil platform. This causes the platform to explode violently, and cause a large oil spill on the neighboring island. After receiving word of the oil spill, an Eden Initiative Ark with Yana Rodriguez enters the sector, and begins clean up of the oil spill. After the cleanup of the oil spill, a mysterious S.A.A.T. Ark arrives in the sector, and Global Trust helps with the finding of the Virago.
Upon hearing of the destruction of C.O.R.E., Global Trust sends Rufus Thorne to the sector to negotiate with Prof. Dr. Salman Devi and his associate. After the presentation that F.A.T.H.E.R. had stolen nuclear missiles and uranium from Global Trust, the company agrees to enter the war against the infected AI. Global Trust supports the war with a war fleet in which the associate of the S.A.A.T. do on their own. This is the last single area in which Global Trust operates, as the rest of the battle is fought ambiguously.
The LogoEditThe original logo of Global Trust is based on a burning candlestick. That 'old' logo is modernized to the logo used in 2070 but can still be seen on the underwater rubble.
After Anno 2070 Edit
It is revealed in Anno 2205 that Global Trust eventually started a campaign in order to create colonies in the Solar System and they managed to colonize Mars. However, they left the entire Mars colony to die for unspecified reasons. After this, Global Trust went bankrupt, and it had to sell its shares to Lei Sheng Electricity and Usoyev Inc.
