The Hovercraft is a fast warship used by the Eco Faction. It is very strong vs. aircraft, and good vs. buildings and ships. However, it has no defense against submarines other than evasion with its high speed. It has one 20t cargo and like most combat ships suffers roughly a 50% speed penalty when fully loaded. The tiny cargo hold is best used for delivering quest cargo or when no other option is available.
Strategies & Tactics[]
Hovercrafts used together with Vipers make for a good combination for fighting an enemy using Aircraft and for defense around islands. Hovercrafts are very powerful against aircraft like Choppers and Firebirds. Hovercrafts are also very fast, good for carrying out hit-and-run attacks on your enemy, keeping the Vipers as a safe-barrier against underwater attacks outside of enemy surface ship range. Detonators can also be used to attack enemy fleets as a fire ship, but this will result in a loss of the Hovercraft. They are the best vehicle for this purpose, though. Submarines, like the Deep Sea Hunter, are the best defense against Hovercrafts, which are their only Achilles Heel.
