The Deacidification Station increases the ecobalance on an island. However, like all Tycoon ecobalance buildings, it cannot increase the ecobalance beyond 0. After construction it launches a flying drone, which will spray acid neutralizing liquid around the station.
While this building has a high cost and energy usage, it will raise the ecobalance of a polluted island extremely well. One will be enough on a strictly residential or food producing island to obtain optimal production or population wellness (though one can't get positive ecological bonuses).
The productivity of the Deacidification Station is affected by the overlap in influence area, not only with other Deacidification Stations, but with the influence areas of the Weather Control Station, Ozone Maker Station, Guardian 1.0 and the Keeper 1.0, and its influence area affects these buildings' Productivity as well.
