Welcome to the Anno 2070 Wiki! Anno 2070 is a real-time strategy video game with city-building and strategy elements. It was released on 17 November 2011 and was co-developed by Related Designs and Ubisoft Blue Byte and published by Ubisoft. (Looking to get the game? See: UBIShop, Steam, GamersGate, Direct2Drive, and Impulse. There's a free demo too.

We look forward to having you as part of our growing community, and hope that you'll help us to build the best guide to Anno 2070 possible. (See Helping out, below) A note about comments: Please don't leave relevant information about an article's topic in its comments. Comments aren't searchable, and will get buried eventually. Relevant info in comments should also be added to that comment's article.

Also note that there are significant differences between the retail and various cracked versions but this Wiki references and applies to the retail software only which is activated and patched with the latest update.

Please do not edit, modify or refer with 100% certainty to articles unless you have purchased and use the official online version of Anno 2070.

The Eco Balance is the effect your buildings and actions have on the environment. Most Tycoon Buildings have a negative effect on the Eco Balance but a rare few have a positive effects. Most Eco Buildings have a negligible effect while some have strong positive effects. Having a negative Eco Balance makes Natural Disasters much more likely. When the Eco balance is in the precarious level, smog lowers Eco satisfaction greatly and Tycoon Residences slightly, while acid soil lowers farming production (slightly for Tycoon Buildings, profoundly for Eco Buildings).

Tip 15:

Safeguard against oil spills: stock up in advance on an Emergency Equipment or two in the Warehouse of every underwater plateau which has Oil Rigs. Should an Oil Rig explosion occur, you then only have to pick it up with a ship and use it to quickly extinguish the fire.
